The knowledge requirement becomes part of the conditions for Swedish citizenship. Applications assessed after this date fall under the new rules.

The guide is published free of charge as a PDF with audio files per chapter. It is the sole source the test is based on.

The registration window, fee and venues are published by UHR. Expect heavy demand at the premiere — register early in the window.

A separate language test has been signalled
A Swedish language test has been signalled for a later date and has previously been postponed. It does not affect the civics test that applies now.
