Practice test

Thirty questions from the study material, with a clock and four options each just as on UHR's test. You get your score immediately and an explanation for every question.

UHR describes the test as roughly 60 multiple-choice questions with four options, one of which is right. The actual test time is 90 minutes. It is written on paper and in Swedish, and it is based on the study material Sverige i fokus. The first test sitting is on 15 August 2026 at Stockholmsmässan.

One thing worth knowing before you compare your score with anything: UHR has not published a pass mark. The August 2026 sitting is also described as a trial test — the first time the questions are used for real. We do not guess at a threshold here, and you should be sceptical of sites that do.

The fee is SEK 2,000 under the ordinance on the citizenship test, charged from tests held in 2027 onwards. Always check current dates, fees and registration rules with UHR — where our text and the authority's differ, the authority is what counts.

Practice test: 30 questions in 45 minutes

Built the way UHR describes its test: multiple-choice questions with four options, one of them right, and a clock counting down. The questions are in Swedish, exactly as on the real test. When you finish you get your score, a breakdown per chapter, and an explanation for every question.

What the practice test covers

The questions are spread across all 13 chapters, roughly in proportion to how much space each chapter gets in the material. The table is built from the questions themselves, so it cannot claim coverage the test does not have.

Where this test differs from the real one

This is a practice test we wrote. It is not a past paper and it is not endorsed by UHR. The questions are our own, written from the content of the study material. Passing this is therefore no guarantee that you will pass the real one.

  • Half the questions: 30 rather than about 60, and so 45 minutes rather than 90. The pace per question is the same.
  • You see the right answer immediately. On the real test you get a result afterwards.
  • You can jump between questions and change your mind — though you can do that on a paper test too.
  • We set no pass mark, because UHR has not published one.

Treat the result as a map, not a grade. The per-chapter breakdown shows where your knowledge is thin — go back to that chapter in the material rather than immediately retaking the whole test.
