- Citizens of the EU/EEA and Switzerland pay neither an application nor a tuition fee.
- Students from outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland generally pay an application fee (about SEK 900 to University Admissions) and tuition that each university sets itself and that differs greatly between subjects — we give no national range; see the fee page for your specific programme.
- Exempt from tuition are, among others, doctoral students, exchange students and people with certain Swedish residence statuses (for example permanent residence).
- Scholarships exist (the Swedish Institute, individual universities) but are competitive and do not remove the application fee.
Confirm the exact tuition with your university and your current fee status on University Admissions before you plan your budget.
